1. “Getting Personal, Part I.” After reviewing the material in Book 3 Section 1.3, brainstorm a list of personal goals. Then compare it with a classmate, identify the commonalities.

“Getting Personal, Part II.” Next, after reviewing the material in Sections 1.4 and 1.5, write down what you think your attitude towards life is on a scale of 1 (very good attitude) to 10 (very bad attitude). Then write down what you think the reason(s) are for that attitude, describing a success that led to a good attitude or a failure that led to a bad attitude or to recovering to a good attitude.
I attitude towards life is at about a 3. I believe this is so because life is doing pretty well. I have good health and good relations with those around me. I am also financially stable and my career path is going well. A success that lead to my good attitude is the grades I have been getting in some of my classes.
2. “Who, Me?” Look at Section 2.2’, make a list of your seven biggest time-wasters; then discuss this with a classmate and write down ways to minimize time wasters and fix it.

3. “Both Ways Now.” Review Book 3 section Sec. 3.2, practice beginning to use each of the two ways of problem-solving. Cal State LA has a enrolment shortfall for business students. You have the authority to solve the problem. Work with another classmate, apply the steps to critical thinking or the methods of creative thinking. Document what you would do if the situation were real for this kind of problem solving. Describe your plan.
My plan to increase the enrollment for business students at Cal State LA is to increase relations with those alumni who are successful. If those looking for colleges see that successful individuals came out of this college people will want to enroll in the college as well, Cal State LA is number one in the country and moving people up the economic scale and they can highlight that by posting about it as well as getting individuals who have become successful come back and talk about their experience.
