No Labels No Drama Right
In this article it talks about
society and how we don’t like to label our relationships. However instead of
simply talking about it the author uses her own story. She goes through a story
with a boy she calls Jeremy and how they had a complicated relationship that he
would abandon her an then reel her back in. This symbolizes how in today’s
society we don’t’ have committed relationships and don’t get emotionally get attached. In the article it states how we don’t go
steady and how women have more power over the relationship and thy can chose
more than one man. Then she back tracks because she couldn’t share her feelings
to “Jeremy” so that put him in control. It ends by saying that she never really
got over “Jeremy” no matter how much she told herself she did.
A Millennials Guide to Kissing
This article talks about a girl’s
fling that she had when she met a guy on a trip she went to Tel Aviv. She went
there because she was going on a Birthright Israel trip. They met on the
airplane trip back and they got close on that trip. Then they went their separate ways when the
flight was over. This instance was just a romantic moment in their real lives
it didn’t mean anything because they would never see each other again. Then the girl added him on Facebook this made
her feel great and relive old memories. She wanted to stay away at moments but
she couldn’t live a moment without him, she was addicted. She then found out he was with another girl
and became insecure. She then contrasts it with American culture and how we
only “hookup” and don’t have serious relationships. We do this so we don’t get hurt but we still
will get hurt and can’t avoid it. The paper ends with the girl reflecting on
how she doesn’t talk to the boy she met on that trip and recalling the
conversation they had.
